Israeli Strikes Kill 62 Palestinians in 24 Hours as Gaza Offensive Intensifies

Gaza's Health Ministry reported 62 Palestinians killed and 296 wounded in the past day as Israeli airstrikes pounded the besieged enclave. Rescue teams remain unable to reach countless victims buried under rubble across the territory.

The latest violence brings Gaza's death toll to 792 since Israel resumed its assault last week, with Save the Children confirming over 270 child fatalities. Among Tuesday's victims were eight family members obliterated in Bureij refugee camp and five killed in their tent in Khan Younis - parents and three children aged 4 to 14.

Despite global condemnation, Israel's seven-month offensive has now claimed over 50,000 Palestinian lives, mostly women and children. A fragile January ceasefire collapsed when Tel Aviv refused to withdraw troops as required under phase two of the agreement.

"These aren't military targets - they're families sleeping in tents," said a nurse at Al-Aqsa Hospital, where the sole survivor of the Khan Younis tent strike, a 13-year-old boy, fights for his life. As night falls, Gaza braces for more strikes, its hospitals overflowing and morgues at capacity.
