Tuesday, a high-ranking Israeli delegation is heading to the Moroccan capital in the first direct flight between Tel Aviv and Rabat to discuss the normalization of relations between Israel and Morocco.
Trump’s advisor, Jared Kushner, and Meir ben-Shabbat, chairman of the National Security Council of Israel are leading the delegation, is in which they will discuss the ways of strengthening the agreement of normalization between Israel and Morocco.
They also look forward to discussing the relations with UAE, Bahrain, and Sudan. Morocco has been the forth Arab country establishing diplomatic relations with Israel, noting that it had already established diplomatic relations with Israel in the late 1990s.
Kushner and Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, stated, in a press conference, that peace with the Middle East in not an impossible mission.
“A few years ago, Israel’s position in the Middle east was exceptional. Today, I realized that this is the right way to adopt and work with in the area,” said Kushner.
He also clarified that in the past 4 months, they reached 4 peace agreements all of which leading to a better future for the whole area. Leaders took a great decision to change their attitudes, overcome their differences, and walk towards peace.
He added, “Process of change in the Middle east has started. We have to rewrite the reality and nott to stick to the old beliefs. Reality changes; Saudi Arabia allowed the Israeli plans to pass through its lands and deleted incitement from its textbooks, Bahrain is opening Kashmir restaurant’s, and Morocco started to teach the Jewish culture. These all are actions we never imagined to happen.”
He finally said that he is proud to be here with the team that sat Abraham agreements with the Prime Minster, considering him a great partner of peace, and proud of having the honor to be here leading the delegation, hoping that their efforts inspire the generation of future.
In response, Netanyahu said, “Jared, your Abraham agreements left a considerable impact in the Middle East.
Netanyahu had built Kushner Garden for Peace in Jerusalem. “Let there be a representative indicator of your contribution to make peace in Israel and the Middle East, said Netanyahu.
