At least ten more people, including two children, have died of starvation in Gaza within the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll from hunger to 313 since the beginning of the assault. Among them are 117 children, with health officials warning that the figures are climbing daily as famine spreads unchecked across the besieged enclave.
The humanitarian crisis has reached catastrophic proportions. Over one million people are now suffering acute food insecurity, while hospitals face severe shortages of therapeutic food, medicines, clean water and nutritional supplements. Vulnerable groups, including children, pregnant women, the elderly and the wounded, are at extreme risk of death as resources run dry.
Aid convoys remain trapped at Gaza’s borders, blocked from entering despite desperate needs. Reports from the ground indicate that civilians searching for food are being targeted, while humanitarian supplies are obstructed or looted under the watch of occupying forces. Doctors say the situation is spiralling into an uncontrollable disaster as hospitals struggle to treat starving patients without basic medical or nutritional support.
Officials warn that without immediate international action to open the crossings and deliver unrestricted aid, hundreds of thousands more lives could be lost. Hunger in Gaza is no longer a silent crisis; it has become a weapon of war, stripping civilians of their most basic right to life.
