Sunday saw a surge of airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 45 civilians killed and dozens wounded as homes, displacement shelters, and refugee camps were hit. Displacement shelters, schools, and even power facilities were struck, leaving children and families particularly vulnerable. One of the most harrowing incidents involved the complete annihilation of the Abu Shaaban family, with seven children and two women killed. Tents housing displaced persons and civilian gathering points were repeatedly bombed, with hospitals overwhelmed by casualties.

Despite an official announcement of a ceasefire, the strikes continued, with Gaza authorities documenting numerous violations, describing them as deliberate attacks on civilians. Emergency services called on international mediators to intervene as the humanitarian crisis deepened, with infrastructure in ruins and residents forced to navigate life under constant threat. The relentless bombardment underscores the fragility of the truce and the ongoing perils faced by the civilian population.
