Israel closes Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron for 10 days

The Israeli forces Thursday evening closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank, to worshipers and visitors for a period of 10 days, under the pretext of preventing the Coronavirus.

Local sources reported that the Israeli decision was informed of the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque, starting from nine o'clock yesterday evening for a period of 10 days, stating that worshipers and visitors will be prevented from entering any part of it.

For his part, the director and head of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Sheikh Hefzi Abu Sneina, said that the Israeli forces use these claims to deny Muslims access to it.

Abu Sneina stressed that worshipers and visitors are committed to all health and prevention conditions, according to the preventive protocols in force.

He stated that the Israeli soldiers deployed at the military checkpoints surrounding the campus and they have not allowed more than 20 worshipers to enter the campus for several days.
