Six Palestinian prisoners continue their open hunger strike

The Palestinian prisoner Kayed Al-Fafous has been on an open hunger strike for 102 days. He is in Barzilai Medical Center as his situation is critical. The Israeli occupation freezed his administrative detention. This means the Israeli occupation is not responsible for his life and he is an unofficial prisoner, guarded by the hospital’s security instead of the occupation’s jailers.

Also, Meqdad Al-Qawasmi, who has been on hunger strike for 95 days, is facing the risk of a sudden death as symptoms of a deterioration in the nervous system appear. He is arrested now in intensive care in Kaplan Medical Center as his situation is too risky.

Alaa Al-Araj, who has been on hunger strike, Hesham Abu Hawwash; 69, and Shadi Abu Aker; 61, are arrested in Al-Ramla prison’s clinic. The administration of prison transfers them from hospitals into the prisons, which exhausts them. They suffer from similar symptoms like vision problems, vomiting, physical weakness, slowness of speech and movement, and pains all over their bodies.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Club reported that there are no developments in their cause, and noted that Mona Qaadan, Amal Taqatqa, and Shatilla Abo Eiyada continue their open hunger strike for the 8th day in protest of the occupation’s arbitrary measures against the prisoners.
