The Israeli military has resumed its assault on the Gaza Strip, entering its ninth consecutive day of operations that many are calling a "genocidal" campaign. This renewed offensive has resulted in hundreds of casualties, despite a ceasefire agreement that had been in effect since January 19.
Recent reports from the Gaza Ministry of Health indicate that 39 Palestinians, including one recovered from the rubble, were killed in the last 24 hours, with 124 others injured. Since hostilities reignited on March 18, the total number of casualties has reached 830 deaths and 1,787 injuries. Overall, the toll since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023, has tragically surpassed 50,183 dead and 113,828 injured.
Witnesses report that Israeli forces have intensified their bombardment across Gaza, targeting various regions with airstrikes and artillery. In Jabaliya, smoke bombs were deployed, while a civilian was injured by sniper fire in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood. In a separate incident, a young man was killed by Israeli forces in Shouka, east of Rafah.
Additionally, an Israeli military convoy reportedly struck a group of civilians in Khan Younis, resulting in two fatalities. As the aggression continues, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepens, leaving countless families in desperate need of aid and protection amid ongoing violence.
