Israeli Forces Kill Journalist and Three Paramedics in Gaza Strikes

Israeli occupation forces killed a journalist and three paramedics in an airstrike on Monday evening as they attempted to rescue the wounded in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighbourhood. The attack, which struck the Al-Mahatta area on Yafa Street, claimed the lives of medics Hussein Muhaysin, Baraa Afaneh, and Raed Al-Attar, as well as journalist Moamen Abu Ouf, who was documenting their efforts.

This latest assault adds to a disturbing pattern of Israeli attacks on medical teams in Gaza, breaching international humanitarian laws that protect healthcare workers in conflict zones. The targeting of first responders has drawn widespread condemnation, yet violations persist.

The incident echoed the March 2025 massacre, when Israeli forces opened fire on a humanitarian convoy east of Rafah, killing 15 people, including eight Red Crescent workers, five civil defence personnel, and a UN staff member. The victims, buried in a mass grave, remain a harrowing testament to the systematic violence against aid workers. Health organisations have called it the deadliest attack on medical teams in a decade.

For 613 days, Israel’s relentless bombardment of Gaza has killed and maimed tens of thousands, with mounting global outrage over the deliberate destruction of hospitals, ambulances, and relief operations. As the world watches, the occupation’s war on Gaza’s civilians continues unchecked.
