SAFA- The Palestinian Civil Defense announced the recovery of 112 Palestinians killed from under the rubble of homes belonging to the Al-Hasaina family in the Sabra area of Gaza City, following search and rescue operations that lasted about 136 hours, while 157 people remain missing under the rubble.

 Mohammed Abu Dan, general supervisor of the body recovery project, stated that crews managed to recover the bodies and remains of 112 victims, including 40 children, 38 women, and 7 people with disabilities, noting that rescue teams have not yet been able to locate the bodies of 157 other missing persons.

Abu Dan explained that the Civil Defense crews faced extreme difficulties during the search operations, as they were forced to dig with their bare hands through blocks of concrete and iron, pointing out that some of the bodies and remains were intertwined within cement blocks and reinforcing steel, indicating the severity of the explosions and the massive size of the missiles used in the bombardment.

He added that the power of the explosions led to the vaporization of a number of bodies, considering this a reflection of the use of weapons with destructive capacity.

 Abu Dan called on humanitarian institutions and bodies to pressure the Israeli occupation to allow the entry of specialized equipment and machinery to enable rescue teams to continue recovering victims from under the rubble.
