Settler bulldozers on Sunday evening razed areas of the lands of the village of Dhahr Al-Maleh, southwest of Jenin, while the Israeli authorities prevented citizens from constructing a road in the nearby village of Al-Arqah.
The head of Dahr Al-Maleh Village Council, Omar Al-Khatib, stated that settlers from "Shaked" settlement, which is built on the lands of the village of Dhahr Al-Maleh, that is isolated behind the apartheid wall, and the villages of the Ya'bad area, began to raze 120 out of 490 dunums, which the Israeli forces took over two years ago.
Al- Khatib added that the purpose of the dredging operations is to establish a new settlement near the settlement of "Shaked", pointing out that the lands belong to the people of the villages of Dhahr Al-Maleh and Zebda and the town of Ya'bad.
For his part, the head of Al-Arqah Village Council, Othman Yahya, added that the Israeli forces prevented the council from completing the construction of a road between the village of Al-Arqah, west of Jenin, and the town of Ya'bad and Khirbet al-Tarm, and detained the workers for some time, before they seized a bulldozer that was working at the place.
